The Scottish Government Equine Guidance has finally been published, and it brings a win for heavy horses as it is officially recognised that horses need their tails!

Revised Equine Guidance is due to be published soon. The Clydesdale Horse Society has revealed the pressure to end the practice of shaving tails is getting to them. Animal Concern has written SAWC and Minister Fairlie setting out why they need to set out stronger measures.

Clydesdale horses are an endangered breed, with many trying to preserve their existence through breeding programs and awareness. Yet for all this care, many continue to deprive them of their tails.
